The Big Game: Constructions
This is work on the environment, creatures and objects, stories and circumstances under the optics of a child’s gaze.
A large chess board, which is assembled by puzzles, serves as a space for a game, whether it will take place – is not known, but everything is moving. Figures appear as people, animals, objects, or symbols. Logically or illogically, they interact and form stories, the course of which depends on many factors and the action or inaction of the players. Everyone who even mentally puts forward theories about what is happening on this black-and-white background becomes a player.
Adults started work on objects, and children finished them. Each figure has its context unrelated to the others. Together they form a universe of connections and meanings, or vice versa, of meaninglessness.
This work is an alternative projection of the world, where each figure represents its author and plays by its own or societal rules. In the world, something is built, broken, created, and changed. It is constantly changing and nothing remains eternal, this is due to the material – paper.
And by what logic and rules this game moves – it is unknown. And who and what kind of figures are these – it is unknown. But all this exists, we created it all and continue to create it because we chose this direction and game.
On the project worked: Tetiana Rudenko, Monika Ivanchenko, Jura Golik, Oleksandra Bedrych, Karina Sunlife, Daniil Holubkov, Olia Fedorova, Olga Zhuk та Ihor Zhuk, Dmytro Horban, Milana Pryhodich, Nikita Boyko, Denys Rudiuk, Nastia Khlestova та Daria Molokoiedova.
