Marharyta Zhurunova

Marharyta Zhurunova (Vinnytsia, Ukraine) studied at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in the Department of Book and Easel Graphics and graduated in 2018 with a Master’s degree.

Engaged in printed graphics, installation, and graphics transitioning into installation. Explores the sacred and the non-human-made. Actively works with the topic of the invisible, and studies Ukrainian folklore and demonology.

Since 2015, has been working in co-authorship with Bohdan Lokatyr in the field of environmental, site-specific art.

Finalists of the contemporary art competition named after Natan Altman (Vinnytsia, 2018), Second Biennale of Young Art (Kharkiv, 2019), M17 Sculpture Prize: Roots and Pollen (M17 Gallery, Kyiv, 2020).
